Terms and Conditions - Skip Hire Tufnell Park
Welcome to Skip Hire Tufnell Park. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our skip hire services. By booking a skip with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.
1. Definitions
In these terms and conditions:
- Provider refers to Skip Hire Tufnell Park.
- Customer refers to the individual or entity hiring the skip.
- Skip refers to the waste container provided by the Provider.
2. Booking and Hire
To hire a skip, the Customer must:
- Provide accurate booking information.
- Ensure the site is accessible for skip delivery and collection.
The Provider reserves the right to cancel a booking if the Customer fails to comply with these conditions.
3. Payment Terms
All payments must be made in full upon booking confirmation unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and bank transfers.
Late Payments: Late payments may incur additional charges, including interest and collection fees.
4. Use of Skip
The skip is to be used solely for the disposal of waste as classified by local regulations. The Customer must not:
- Use the skip for hazardous or illegal materials.
- Overload the skip beyond its specified capacity.
Improper use may result in additional charges or legal action.
5. Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from being disposed of in our skips:
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Flammable liquids and gases
- Electrical equipment
- Chemicals and pesticides
- Medicines and pharmaceuticals
If prohibited items are found, the Customer may be liable for removal and additional costs.
6. Liability
The Provider is not liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from the use of our skip hire services, except where caused by our negligence.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the placement of the skip does not damage property or impede access.
7. Insurance
Customers are advised to have appropriate insurance coverage for the use of the skip on their property. The Provider’s insurance does not cover damages to the Customer’s property.
8. Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel their skip hire booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled delivery without incurring any charges. Cancellations made within 48 hours of delivery may be subject to a cancellation fee.
9. Changes to Terms
The Provider reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, the Customer should contact the Provider’s customer service team to seek an amicable resolution. If a resolution cannot be reached, legal proceedings may be initiated as per the governing law.
11.1 Mediation
Before pursuing legal action, both parties agree to attempt mediation to resolve the dispute.
11.2 Arbitration
If mediation fails, the dispute may be referred to arbitration, where a neutral third party will make a binding decision.
